Interlibrary Loan - Book/Item What is it. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) for books or other items is a free* service for borrowing physical materials not owned by the UW Libraries, such as books, bound journal volumes, DVDs, audiobooks, microfilm, etc. Use this service after trying UW Libraries collections and Summit.

The Interlibrary Loan unit provides service to the University at Albany’s current students, faculty, staff, and emeritus faculty. Courtesy borrowing privileges, alumni borrowing privileges, and Empire State College borrowing agreements do not include interlibrary loan privileges.

Interlibrary Loan staff are still available to process your requests for materials. We are working to obtain electronically sourced articles, books and book chapters wherever possible. However, the COVID pandemic has resulted in the closures of many partner institutions, and we have suspended ILL of physical items.

To request a book or journal article/book chapter that is not available in the Elon University Library, please use one of the methods below. These services are only available to Elon University students, faculty, and staff.

Belk Library does not request textbooks through Interlibrary Loan. Please refer to our Interlibrary Loan Textbook Policy.

Interlibrary Loan continues to fill requests for electronic books, articles and book chapters. Any requests that cannot be filled with electronic resources will be requested from other libraries. Requests may take longer than normal. Some requests may be cancelled if another library is unable to fulfill the request.

Already have an ILL account. Apart from a few labels, ILL has not changed. Interlibrary loan is currently not available as Minitex has suspended physical delivery across the state of Minnesota.
